Paramedic required to work across our PCN
Job description
Exciting opportunities have arisen at the expanding East Hants Primary Care Network (PCN) and we are now looking to increase our paramedic workforce working alongside GPs in a primary care setting and carrying out home visits for our housebound patients.
The successful applicant will provides paramedic services to our 6 surgeries across our PCN.
The role of the Paramedic has developed over recent years to meet the move towards supporting patients to be treated and managed within a primary care setting or their own home. As a result, new roles for Paramedics working in primary and urgent care settings are being developed.
The Paramedic workforce is able to treat and manage increasingly complex patients, while continuing to provide excellent and safe patient care. As a member of a varied clinical team, a Paramedic can manage a clinical caseload within their scope of practice, dealing with presenting patients’ needs within a primary care setting, ensuring patient choice and ease of access to services.
A Paramedic will have clinical reasoning and problem-solving capabilities and critical self-awareness, both to apply their knowledge and skills within their professional scope of practice, and within the constraints of this capability framework. Paramedics must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
This role will allow the applicants to further develop the ever evolving primary care services. Working as part of a team, you will be instrumental in developing new services and engaging with the local community.
We are a happy, friendly team of managers and clinicians and thrilled to be developing new and exciting services within our PCN.
